Flower Care
We want you to enjoy your flowers for as long as possible, so with a few simple steps and some love, your flowers will last longer and love you back!
WRAPPED OR VASE ARRANGEMENTS
THE VESSEL
Your beautiful bunch needs a home, so prepare your vase with care. We recommend a glass vase that has been cleaned with bleach and thoroughly rinsed to ensure that any remnants are not lingering around. Having a clean vase means no nasty bacteria to contaminate your fresh blooms. Start off on the right foot, and this will ensure longevity.
STEMS ARE THE KEY
Your blooms would've been prepared with the utmost care, but we always recommend cutting 1cm-2cm from the ends on an angle. This ensures that your blooms soak up their water evenly.
LEAVES
Remove any leaves that will be submerged by the water. The leaves floating around in the water can cause bacteria to grow and be harmful to your flowers.
WATER
We have included a small satchel of water food. Place this in your first vase of water and stir to mix. After this, when you change your water daily, just tip out your old water, wash and thoroughly rinse the vessel and refill with fresh water.
PLACEMENT
Fresh flowers can sometimes be a little temperamental. Don’t place them in direct sunlight, under or near air conditioners or near heaters as they will dry the flowers out, making them wilt. Also, don’t place near fresh fruit as it will age your flowers quicker. Placing your blooms properly will help them last much longer, and combined with our care instructions, you’ll be able to enjoy your fresh blooms for days!
BOXED ARRANGEMENTS
THE VESSEL
Your blooms are arranged in floral foam so that they need minimal care, however they still need a bit of extra attention to make the most out of them.
WATER
Every couple of days water your flowers, although they are in wet foam they still get thirsty and this helps them to last longer. Just be careful not to over water – small amounts frequently!
MAINTAIN
Every 2 to 3 days remove any dead flowers or wilting leaves so that it doesn’t affect the other blooms.
