So, you’ve received your proposal from us and are happy with the inclusions and price, paid your booking fee and confirmed our services, now what? Well … now we wait!
This is an awkward time between booking us in, and when things really start ramping up closer to your wedding date.We encourage our couples to really take the time to relax and not agonise over the small details on your proposal during this time. We have a meeting about 2 months prior (sometimes longer in peak season) where we really finalise everything, so if your proposal isn’t 100% perfect, this is ok – we still have time!
If you need to make small changes, we ask you to keep a list going and then we will make them all at your final consult. Small changes are things like your numbers changing slightly; you wanting to add or remove extra chairs; you want to add an extra buttonhole … things like that. Things we DO need to know about are things like a venue or date change (this is a HUGE one!), if you are adding or dropping more than 10% of your booked items or if you’re changing your whole vision… if you’re unsure, just ask us!
When you send your initial enquiry through, we are already starting to look at what else we might have booked on that date, so if you make some huge changes, it could mean that we are going to be overstaffed, have huge travel times or be running around like crazy women! We have an amazing team and can execute multiple weddings over weekends, but we just like to know in advance what big changes you have.
So, while wedding planning might be a busy time and you might not hear from us to much between booking and having your final consult, know that we are still working behind the scenes and if you’ve paid your booking fee, you’re locked in and good to go!
